“The future of the book is in the telephone”In an article published in "Livres Hebdo" on 27 May 2011, the journalist Catherine Andreucci previewed Octavio Kulesz’s study on digital publishing in the developing countries. Quote: “[...] the Argentinean publisher, founder of the digital publishing house Editorial Teseo and the network Digital minds, overturns traditional thinking by shedding a completely new light on the dynamism and the potential of non-Western countries, looking at specific uses of technologies according to local situations.”

The sincerity of Jean-Michel Ollé (Hachette Livre international) is worth mentioning: "Textbooks purchase by the states with the help of the World Bank create a situation dominated by big publishers. This leaves us with an almost exclusive dominion over the textbook market, excluding straightaway local publishers".

Écosociété in jeopardy?The solidarity call on “Freedom of publishing under threat in Canada ?” launched by the Alliance in support of the Quebecois publishing house Écosociété has been signed by 60 publishers of 30 different nationalities. The professional magazine "Livres Hebdo" as well as "Le Monde des livres" supplement have relayed this advocacy action by articles published respectively on June 27th and July 11th, 2008. The collection "Terres solidaires" praised by journalistsFollowing the release of two new pan-African co-publications in the collection "Terres solidaires", "Sozaboy" by Ken Saro-Wiwa and "De l’autre côté du regard" by Ken Bugul, "Jeune Afrique" devotes an article to these solidarity endeavours.
