Reference cards

The Alliance’s useful Reference cards provide you with a synopsis of accessible data on a specific topic. Very frequently, job of collecting data is done by the Alliance itself, which mobilises its local partners for this task – often the very best way to obtain reliable and immediately usable information. These reference cards, which can take different forms and cover a wide variety of topics, are freely available to the public.

Transporting and Distributing Publications

Postage rates and dissemination of publications in Latin America

In November 2009, it came to the Alliance’s attention that preferential postage rates for publications were gradually being phased out in many Latin American countries.

In the absence of recent studies on postage rates in the area, and faced with the difficulty of collecting reliable data, the Alliance decided to conduct its own research on the issue, based on the experience of its members based in Latin America.

A synopsis of this research, including data collection and the resulting analysis, compiled by Mathieu Joulin on behalf of the Alliance, is now available. The Alliance would gratefully welcome any additional contribution that could enhance and update this study – please don’t hesitate to contact us.
