The International Alliance of independent publishers firmly believes in the need for formal, professional training and tutoring in the book industry. Such training and tutoring should be adapted to the specific needs of publishers, should not serve any vested interests, should be free from interference, and should be accessible to all. To this end, the Alliance is offering its members access to online, tailor-made tuition modules. This professional online offering is completed by textbooks, short handbooks and other instruction manuals. This selection of tutoring material perfectly complements the Alliance’s resource centre, and particularly the existing body of research, namely the “Reports on the publishing world” series and the “Young Talents Collection” series. While the Alliance certainly has no ambition to “lecture”, it aims to provide you with easy and practical access to any knowledge that may be useful for your projects.
