Bibliodiversity Day & Indie Book Day

Bibliodiversity Day (B Day), 21 September

Bibliodiversity Day has been created in 2010, by Latin American publishers members of the Alliance.

Since then, it happens every year in different countries, especially in Latin America. On 21 September, first day of spring for the Southern hemisphere, publishers, booksellers, book professionals and readers are invited to celebrate independent publishing and bibliodiversity.

Manual : all ideas and activities are welcome, coming from a publishing house, a collective of independent publishers, book professionals and readers : bookcrossing, literary picnics, professional meetings, public reading, radio broadcast, newspaper articles…

Download here the logos of the B Day (logos, videos…) and see here the blog.

Indie Book Day, March

Indie Book Day has been created in 2013, by German independent publishers ; since last year, it is celebrated in other countries, thanks to independent publishers collectives and the Alliance.

Manual : the third Sunday of March, readers are invited to go in an independent bookshop, buy a book published by an independent publisher, and publish a picture of the book on the social networks, with hashtag #indiebookday. Booksellers and publishers can then organize a common campaign to prepare the event, for their communities to be aware of this event (posters in the bookshops, information on social networks and websites etc.).

Find here the logos of the Indie Book Day and here the official page of the Indie Book Day.
